Important Safety Recall - Castrol Two Stroke Oil

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of an important safety recall which relates to Castrol Oils used in two stroke engines.

Castrol is voluntarily recalling one litre bottles of Castrol oil used in two stroke engines due to water contamination.  The contamination in some bottles may potentially be sufficient to cause engine seizure.
 
The affected products and the batch numbers are listed below and were on sale from 3rd September 2012.  

Castrol Power 1 Racing 2T - Codes 141735, 143802 
Castrol Power 1 Scooter 2T - Codes 119990, 147997
Castrol Act > Evo 2T - Codes 126486, 135401, 150755

The products are mainly used in motorcycles or small scooters, but can also be used in other equipment with two stroke engines.

What you need to do:
 
If you have used one of the products with a batch number listed below, do not use your equipment and contact Castrol on 0800 046 9260 for advice and information.
 
If you have not used the product please return it to the retailer for a replacement or refund.
