Government website back on-line after attack

by isleofman.com 26th April 2013

The government website is back on-line this evening after an attack earlier today meant it had to be taken down.

What's described as a malicious distributed denial of service attack happened around 9.15 this morning.

Director of the Information Systems Division at the government, Mark Lewin, says sadly such attacks are becoming more commonplace, but the site was not hacked as had been earlier reported and they're not aware of any data or systems breach

Government services are apologising for any inconvenience caused
