Channel Islands should copy Manx film industry

by isleofman.com 28th April 2013

Jersey should establish its own film industry.

That's the belief of Bergerac star John Nettles.

In an interview for the Jersey Evening Post, Mr Nettles says he thinks some effort should have been made to follow the Isle of Man in establishing all of the Channel Islands as a kind of huge film lot for film makers.

He suggest companies could be set up and films made on the Islands.

He adds that there's a tremendous variety of locations and companies could be given tax breaks to make it financially viable for them to work there.
