The next screening by Films in Peel is the 2012 dark British comedy Sightseers (Cert 15) on 08 May .
Ever since her terrier Poppy died in a bizarre knitting accident, Tina (played by Alice Lowe) has lived a sheltered life with her mother. New boyfriend Chris (Steve Oram) decides to show her his world and takes her on a self-proclaimed "erotic odyssey" in his caravan to such wonders as the Crich Tramway Museum, and the Keswick Pencil Museum. However the dream caravan holiday spirals out of control as they leave a trail of destruction behind them. From the producers of Shaun of the Dead this is a pitch-black comedy, not for the fainthearted!
The film has a runtime of 88 mins. Start time is 7.45pm and doors open 7pm. Refreshments available. Tickets cost ?5 from Celtic Gold or on the door. A limited number of reservation tickets are available from HMV (Douglas), Shakti Man (Ramsey) and Thompson Travel (Port Erin).
The last two films before Films in Peel takes a summer break are Quartet (cert 12A) on 22 May, a British comedy starring Maggie Smith, Pauline Collins, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtenay and Billy Connolly and Les Miserables (cert 12A) on 12 June.
