Camera Obscura opens this weekend

by isleofman.com 29th April 2013
It’s a sign that the summer season has started, as the Great Union Camera Obscura opens to the public this weekend.   The obscura is run by volunteers from the IOM Victorian Society, together with a handful of members of the public who are always most welcome when they offer to assist.

The obscura will now be open through to mid-September on Saturdays 1pm – 4pm, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays the hours are 11am – 4pm.

The admission charge remains unaltered at:  ?2 for adults, ?1 for pensioners and students over 12.  Accompanied children go Free.

The camera obscura is of course dependent on fine weather conditions, and the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal can be contacted to advise whether the obscura is open or not, tel. 686766.
