Live off ?1 per day

More than 30 Island residents have started a challenge today (Monday) to live off ?1 a day.

It's all in aid of charity and is part of a global initiative known as the Live Below the Line Campaign.

For a working week, the fundraisers will spend ?1 on food which is the amount 1.4 billion people worldwide currently meet their daily needs with.

The Island's Global Poverty Ambassador, Kristina Crawford, says the campaign is being supported really well this year:
