A rallying call has gone out to the Island's public sector manual workers - give your views on government plans to create a new employment body before it's too late.
Ministers want to do away with current negotiating bodies the Whitley Council and Civil Service Commission.
In their place - a single body to oversee a workforce of more than 4,000 which would be known as the Public Services Commission.
But Whitley Council employees' negotiating boss Jonty Arkell fears revised pay, terms and conditions will be worse under the new body than they are now.
He represents manual and craft workers employed by government and local authorities.
He's urging workers to give their views to a public consultation before it closes at the end of May: (play audio)
The government says a new employing body would streamline employment structures, improve efficiency and make it easier to transfer staff between departments and boards.
The move to establish a Public Services Commission is part of the current budget re-balancing exercise as priorities and circumstances public change .
