Fourth term for Captain Malpass

Captain Nigel Malpass is back in the hot seat in Ramsey.

He’s been elected chairman of the town’s commissioners for a fourth successive term.

He received unanimous backing from his colleagues this week.

Sylvia Beattie has also been re-elected vice chairman with the majority of committee positions remaining unchanged.

The last time a chairman was elected for four consecutive years in Ramsey was J.N. Richdale from 1925 to 1929.
