by isleofman.com 3rd May 2013
At approximately 5.50pm on Tuesday 30th April 2013 it was reported that  a 37 year old male resident of Ramsey, was assaulted near to the Silver Star Take Away, Chapel Lane, Ramsey.  A second 37 yr old Ramsey man was arrested at the scene by police.  Police are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or who may be able to supply further details.  In particular, Police would like to hear from a woman walking in the area, who is thought to have seen the incident.

Chapel Lane is off Waterloo Road, Ramsey near the Britannia Public House.  Given the time of day, it is likely that passing pedestrians or vehicle drivers, possibly leaving work may have noted the altercation.

Sergeant Andy Kneen would say “ This incident involved two men that were known to each other. The man who was arrested, subsequently appeared in court the following morning charged with assault and with being drunk and disorderly. He was subsequently bailed. The case is ongoing.  We are keen to hear from anyone that may have seen what happened”

Anybody with information should contact PC 297 Blair Hunt at Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
