Appleby RS Terra Open 2013 this weekend

The Isle of Man Yacht Club (“IOMYC”) will host its annual Appleby RS Terra Open this bank holiday weekend.
 
Sponsored by local legal and fiduciary services provider, Appleby, the event will take place at Port St Mary Bay and features top young Manx sailors, members of the successful Manx Youth Sailing Squad and members of the RS Tera GB squad.
 
The Championship is the only opportunity for local sailor’s to test themselves against other top junior sailors in Isle of Man waters to compete for a place in the Manx Youth Sailing Squad for 2013. It will also include the RS Tera Northern Championships and competitors will include last year’s winner Ana Paterson of Sheffield. The Isle of Man Yacht Club also hopes to send a strong squad to the UK National and Inland Championships later this year with some sailors travelling to Italy to the World Championships.
 
The weekends racing scheduled is as follows and spectators are welcome.

Sunday 5th      Races 4 to 6                 1000                0840    1500
 
Racing may run into Sunday afternoon if conditions dictate and subsequent races in each session will be started as soon as possible.
