Top music honours for Hannah and Elizabeth

The big prizes in the Manx Music Festival were given out at the Villa Marina last night.

12 year old Hannah Clinton took the honours in the Sheffield Plate.

Meanwhile, mezzo soprano Elizabeth Townsend took the top award, the Celeveland Medal, the first time she’d ever qualified for it.

After the results were announced, she admitted she’d been very surprised to come first:
