Big Brill Breakfasts back for TT 2013

by isleofman.com 8th May 2013

Bikers, local businesses and breakfast eaters can enjoy breakfast and the feel good factor that the price of their breakfast goes to charity this TT fortnight.

From Monday 27th May until Friday 7th June staff and volunteers from Crossroads Care will be donning their aprons and hairnets to serve full English breakfasts and breakfast baps from 7.30am – 10.30am daily from the charity’s Day Centre, Masham Court in Victoria Avenue, Douglas.

The Day Centre, located conveniently behind the Police Station next to the TT Grandstand, offers diners the option of eating in as well as taking their food out in a handy take away box if you are in a rush to get to work or the next race.

Crossroads ran this popular fundraising event for the first time last year and frying over 1,440 eggs and 1,120 sausages brought them over ?3,200 to the till.  All funds were injected back into their charitable projects for adults and children, carers and those they care for.

As well as TT breakfasts Crossroads hope to raise other funds during this year’s festival as charity partner alongside the Joey Dunlop Foundation for a 180 foot bungee located at Bushy’s Beer Tent from 31st May – 7th June.

Thrill seekers can jump 180 foot from the crane cage bungee during this time and if they raise a minimum sponsorship of ?100 for either charity they can jump for free!

For more information about Crossroads Care Big Brill Breakfasts or the sponsored bungee jump visit www.crossroadsiom.org or contact Alex Wilson of Crossroads on 673103.
