Child seriously injured in RTC in Ramsey

At about 6.20pm on Wednesday 8th May 2013, there was a serious injury road traffic collision on North Shore Road, Ramsey, involving a blue BMW motor car driven by a local woman, and a 10 year old boy, who was riding a pushbike.
 
As a result of this collision, the boy was taken to Nobles Hospital for treatment. He was subsequently flown to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for further treatment. His current condition is described as serious, but stable.
 
Police,  Ambulance and Public Service Vehicle examiners attended the scene. A full investigation is being undertaken, led by officers of the Roads Policing Unit, supported by staff from Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team, based at Ramsey.
 
Sgt Andy Kneen, at Ramsey Police Station would say  “We are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed this collision. Police officers spoke to several witnesses last night., I would ask that anyone who witnessed this incident, and who has not yet had their details taken, to please get in touch with the Police at Ramsey, or any Police officer.”
