Shop window smashed in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 9th May 2013

Between 9.30pm on Friday 3rd May and 11.30am on Saturday 4th May 2013 a window has been smashed at Velveva, a Bed linen/Curtain Shop situated in Parliament Street, Ramsey (more or less opposite the Plough Public House).  The offender(s) have smashed the glass (an 8ft x 2ft panel), which is at the left side of the shop door before leaving the scene as yet undetected.

PC 12 Giles from Ramsey Police Station would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused. She states “The damage left the shop premises vulnerable but also members of the public were put at risk of injury from sharp shards of glass protruding from the damaged window.  The risk of glass falling and hurting someone was very high and this is a juvenile act of wanton damage”.

Ramsey Police Station can be contacted on Tel: 812234.
