Parents should be on standby in event of bus strike during exams

by isleofman.com 10th May 2013

Parents should try and be available to take children into exams in the event of a bus strike around the TT period.

Bus drivers recently voted for further strike action in their long-running industrial dispute with the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.

Whilst no exact date has yet been announced it's possible the busy TT period could be targeted - a time when many secondary school students are sitting their GCSEs and A-levels.

Minister Tim Crookall says they are monitoring the situation, but parents should be aware of possible difficulties
