Corkill to earn first England cap

by isleofman.com 11th May 2013

After months of trials and assessments - Isle of Man, Bacchas and Leeds University Hockey player Louise Corkill has been selected for the England Under 21 squad.

They play a Test Series against Germany at Lilleshall from Thursday 16th to Monday 20th May - her 21st birthday is the same weekend so celebrations will have to be put on hold.

Louise first played Hockey at the Manx Youth Games and followed her parents into the sport.

She has received Isle of Man Sport Aid for the past three years.

Manx Radio Hockey correspondent James Russell says it's a stunning achievement:-
