Ocean-going yachts from around the Irish Sea are gathering in Douglas for the start of a hard-fought race to the Irish Republic this morning (Sunday).
Crews from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales berthed in Douglas overnight ready to set sail on the Douglas to Dublin crossing, organised by the Irish Sea Offshore Racing Association.
There'll be a chance to see the vessels leave the pontoons in Douglas harbour from 7.15am and race along the coast south of Douglas from 8am.
One Manx vessel, Polished Manx, has entered the prestigious race, which will last around 15 hours.
