Police are requesting for witnesses after a fail to stop road traffic collision on the Kentraugh Back Road, near to the junction with Shore Road, Gansey. This incident occurred on Sunday 19th May at around 3pm.

A cyclist was hit by a passing vehicle, resulting in the cyclist being thrown from his bike and into the road. Fortunately, the cyclist only received relatively minor injuries.

The driver of this vehicle, which is described as being a blue coloured transit style van, failed to stop and continued driving. It is possible that the van may have sustained nearside wing mirror damage, however this is not known.

Police are anxious to speak with the driver to establish their version of events so if you were the driver of this blue van, or know any further information, then please contact PC 299 Kyle SAYERS at Castletown Police Station on 822222 or via Police Headquarters on 631212.

You may also contact Isle of Man Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Crimestoppers is an independent Manx charity established to enable callers to pass information regarding criminal activity anonymously. Crimestoppers is not an agency of the Police. Crimestoppers will never ask callers for any personal details.
