Patient charter launched

The health minister says a patient charter will make sure the Island doesn't make the mistakes some English hospitals have made.

A report published in the UK earlier this year condemned Stafford Hospital for poor care standards and made 290 recommendations on how to improve its service.

David Anderson launched the "Dignity In Care" document yesterday and leaflets are now available to the public.

It sets out exactly what people should expect while at Noble's and what to do if they have an issue with their care.

Mr Anderson says both professionals and patients have played a role in setting up the charter:
