Teams are being urged to sign up The Children’s Centre’s annual charity golf day being held at Peel Golf Club on Friday June 14. Teams have a chance to win the coveted Golf Day Trophy - which was won last year by Barclays – and there will also be prizes for nearest to the pin and the longest drive. All funds will go to The Children’s Centre’s charitable projects which help families and children across the Island. Susie Cox, Fundraising Co-ordinator at The Children’s Centre, said:
“We are looking for 18 teams of four to take part at a cost of ?350 per team. All money raised through the golf day goes directly towards supporting our charitable projects Mobex, Out2Play, Child Contact Centre, Community Development and Community Farm which help provide children and young people in our local community with positive experiences.”
The entry fee includes a bacon bap and coffee on arrival, snacks and refreshments throughout the day, and a two-course carvery celebration meal. Susie added:
“The Golf Day is always a fun occasion and all of the teams that take part have a great day out with good company, and all for a good cause.”
