by isleofman.com 21st May 2013

The IoM Archery Club gathered on Sunday to shoot a National Round as part of the Handicap League. Fifteen archers took part but only ten of them had established handicaps going into the round. The other archers recorded scores that will count towards their initial outdoor handicap rating.

After the washout of the weekend before, conditions on Sunday were perfect. Twelve archers recorded personal best scores. Two archers, Billy Lightfoot and Colin Moore, shot six gold ends at the furthest distance of 80 yds. This makes them eligible for a badge from Archery GB.The highest single improvement came from Mat Smith who added an impressive 94 points to his previous best.
