A reminder of the No-Smoking Premises Regulations

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2013

The No-Smoking Premises Regulations 2007, have now been in operation since 31st March 2008, and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture would like to remind business operators, particularly those in new premises or those who may have replaced work vehicles , that it is a requirement of the No-Smoking Premises Regulations 2007 to display “No smoking” signage in their premises, including work vehicles.

Ivan Bratty, the Department’s Food Safety Manager said:

“It is a reflection on how successful the legislation has been that some businesses feel that they no longer need to display “No Smoking” signage, however, it is still a legal requirement.”

A limited supply of the required “No smoking” signage and can be obtained by contacting the Department.
