Okell’s gears up for TT 2013 with launch of 1907 this Sunday

by isleofman.com 23rd May 2013

This year’s TT gets officially under way on Sunday May 26th when Okell’s launches its limited-edition 1907 beer.

First produced in 2007, centenary year for the TT, the beer described by Okell’s head brewer Dr Mike Cowbourne as ‘golden-coloured with tropic fruit aromas’ will be launched at 3pm at the Okell’s beer tent at the TT grandstand with the help of festival regulars, the Purple Helmets.

Heron and Brearley’s retail director Steven Taylor said: ‘Okell’s 1907 attracts a very loyal fan base that grows with every TT, not only in the Isle of Man but also across our managed estate in the UK where it is equally in demand.

‘Just like the Isle of Man, Okell’s and Heron Brearley have a long tradition of welcoming visitors, not only during the TT but also year round. With a packed  programme of entertainment planned coupled with great food and hospitality we’re pleased to be as much a part of the TT as the racing itself.’

Throughout the TT Heron and Brearley will be supporting the Joey Dunlop Foundation to which it has pledged to make a donation.
