by isleofman.com 23rd May 2013

The Leisure Minister says he's hopeful the long-running bus dispute may be near an end.

Graham Cregeen was speaking after drivers were balloted on whether to strike for 12 days from Saturday.

The result is due to be known tomorrow afternoon (Friday) and the local union Unite has recommended drivers accept a settlement offer from government.

However, Mr Cregeen insists the department has had to put contingency measures in place for the TT period: (play audio)

There has been a delay in the publication of the contingency timetable.

It will now be out Friday morning.
