Bus services cancelled as dispute heightens

by isleofman.com 24th May 2013

The long-running bus dispute has taken another twist.

Up to 10 drivers have taken extended sickness leave, forcing bus bosses to cancel a number of major routes this afternoon (Friday).

The development comes hours before it’s due to be revealed whether drivers proceed with a 12 day TT strike from tomorrow (Saturday).

Here’s James Davis (audio file attached):

A number of today’s services have been disrupted.

The 2.02pm Route 5c from Banks Circus to Ramsey via Peel has been cancelled, as has the Route 3 departing Ramsey bus station at 2.16pm and 2.40pm to Douglas.

The route 3 return, departing Lord Street at 3.45pm to Ramsey via Laxey, has also been cancelled.
