First council candidate comes forward

by isleofman.com 28th May 2013

The first candidate has emerged for the vacancy on Douglas Council.

After Chris Thomas toped the poll in last week's House of Keys by-election in West Douglas, a seat is up for grabs in St George’s Ward.

Thirty-four year-old businessman George Campbell, who last year narrowly missed out being elected to the Council, has come forward again.

Chairman of the Isle of Man Special Olympics, he says he has kept up to speed with monthly council meetings and would be able to hit the ground running should he be elected.
