Students - don't rely on buses

Parents with children sitting GCSE and A level exams next week are being told they must not rely on the bus to get to school.

An emergency TT bus timetable ran into difficulty yesterday (Tuesday) due to a shortage of drivers.

Some school services were hit.

The replacement schedule drawn-up last week when Unite confirmed its members would strike for 12 days over TT, was abandoned and a Sunday service put on instead.

That's continuing today (Wednesday).

Head of Administrative Services at the Department of Education John Gill is urging pupils and parents to plan now for next week's crucial exam period:
