Another defibrillator donated to Island

by isleofman.com 30th May 2013

Craig's Heartstrong Foundation has donated another defibrillator, this time to Scott Physiotherapy for use at the Grandstand over TT week and for any other events they attend.

This one was given to CHF by Hoops For Heart Health, an American charity trying to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest in the young and distributing defibrillators across the USA.

In a recent visit to the Isle of Man, charity member Wayne Simone donated the defibrillator to CHF Chairman Paul Healey.

Paul says Wayne found out about Craig's Heartstrong Foundation on the internet, and as he was coming over to the Island to visit family he decided to bring a defibrillator with him.

CHF has decided to give this one to Scott Physiotherapy as so many people visit the Grandstand this time of year and Isla Scott and the team have a tent set up there.

After TT it can be used for other events she attends around the Island.

Ben Scott from Scott Physio says as a small business they could not afford to buy a defibrillator unit, so to have one donated by CHF is an incredible gift which could very easily help save a life.
