Capital Treasury Services supports Excellence in Sport

by isleofman.com 30th May 2013

Everyone strives for excellence, be it in business, school or sport – and as one of the core values, the Capital International Group prides itself on being able to support the youth on the island in business, education and activities to help attain those high  levels.

Over the last couple of years Capital Treasury Services, a subsidiary of the Capital International Group, has been proud to support Josh Knights, a promising local cyclist, and we are pleased to report on his accomplishments so far this year:

• 21st April - Rob Rohrer 25 Mile Time Trial & Championship
Josh broke the Island Junior 25 mile time trial record of 56 minutes 36 seconds, which has stood for 24 years, when he finished in a time of 56.07.
• 19th May - North West Junior Road Race Championship, Preston
Runner up
• 25th May - National Junior 10 Mile Time Trial Championships, Norwich
Finished 4th with a personal best of 21.32

In addition to his achievements above, Josh has been selected to represent the Isle of Man at this year’s Inter Island Games being held in Bermuda during mid-July. This is fantastic news for him, and is recognition of his recent achievements and hard work over the past 12 months. He will need to get acclimatised to the heat now, so let’s hope for some decent sunny weather soon!

We would like to wish Josh the best of luck in his next race at the National Junior Road Race Championships in Cumbria.
