Officials to study possible implications for Island following Francis Report

Any potential implications for the Island's health service in the wake of the Francis Report are set to be considered by a working group of senior officials.

The report was commissioned by the UK's Department of Health into failures of care at the Mid-Staffordshire NHS Acute Trust.

Its recommendations will be looked by the working group, to see if any need to be applied in the Isle of Man.

Dudley Butt MLC, who's the departmental member with responsibility for health, says the views of patients will also be sought:
