Island's annual inflation rate falls to 2.4%

Reduced petrol, fuel and energy costs in May helped produce a fall from 3.3% to 2.4% in the
Island’s annual inflation rate.

Excluding housing costs, the annual rate of inflation shown by the RPI also decreased, from 2.9%
in April to 1.9% in May.

The annual rate of inflation shown by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) was 1.2% in May, down
from 1.9%.
