Wallace & Gromit’s Red Carpet at the Villa Marina!

by isleofman.com 31st May 2013

To celebrate Wallace & Gromit visiting the Isle of Man from 17th to 19th June Lloyds are inviting people across the Isle of Man to attend their Red Carpet screening of the award winning Wallace & Gromit films on Tuesday 18th June 6pm -9:30pm at the Villa Marina in Douglas. This magical event will not only invite local people to meet the characters but also to join Aardman animators for model making workshops and enjoy a real VIP experience with lots of extra fun and games for everyone.

Wallace & Gromit are visiting the Isle of Man in partnership with Lloyds to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Wrong Trousers Day which is a national event in aid of Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, which raises funds to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK including the local children on the Isle of Man.

Lloyds TSB (IOM) Offshore is very keen to support this special evening event which will raise much needed funds for the Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s charity Foundation. Although the charity is based in the UK it is also linked into assisting the Islands childrens’ charities and in the past has donated much needed funds to Rebecca House Childrens’ Hospice. The evening is aimed at children and families throughout the community and I hope that it will be well supported as all funds raised that evening will go directly to the charity. Nearly two hundred colleagues have purchased tickets already and a team from the Bank will be there to assist on the night with the fundraising. I am very proud of all the support that my Island team have provided during this visit” said Peter Reid, Island Director & Head of Banking Operations.

To get your tickets to this Red Carpet Event please visit the Villa Marina in Douglas tickets are just a ?2 donation per person.
