MHK questions action taken to address issues at Nobles

by isleofman.com 4th June 2013

A South Douglas MHK says she remains unconvinced by claims from hospital bosses that immediate action was taken to address concerns over practices at Noble’s.

It’s six months since senior medics first highlighted what they say are major shortcomings in the management of acutely unwell patients.

The consultants claimed poor practice allowed too many patients to suffer from avoidable harm - from drug errors and falls to hospital-acquired infections.

Kate Beecroft, who brought up the issue in Tynwald, believes certain areas remain overlooked by hospital management.
