by isleofman.com 5th June 2013

Entrepreneur Event organiser, Steve Hawkins, reported that another eight European companies visited the Isle of Man recently to understand the benefits that the island offers.  The latest event was again sponsored by PwC and supported by the government’s Department of Economic Development (DED).  This was the fourth event supported by PwC, in a series of more than ten events held over the last eighteen months that has brought over one hundred companies to the island.  Commented Hawkins “These events increase awareness of what the Isle of Man has to offer for both ‘start-up’ and early stage businesses”.

An eclectic mix of companies attended, bringing diversity both from the business proposition and global presence.  The Entrepreneurs shared their insight into the Isle of Man, further confirming that the island offers a unique combination of opportunity to early stage businesses.

Brian Donegan from Isle of Man’s Department of Economic Development commented,

“These businesses support the strategic direction of the Department of Economic Development to create jobs within the local market.  The quality of the companies and entrepreneurs is impressive and well aligned to the Isle of Man Government’s job creation strategy.”
