Leading financial services company raises ?832.36 for local charity.

Abacus Trust Company Limited is pleased to support ‘Action4Autism IOM’ as its nominated Manx charity for quarterly fundraising.

Action4Autism IOM is a charitable organisation on the Isle of Man, which aims to support parents, educational professionals and medical specialists of children and youths who suffer from Autism and Autistic spectrum disorders. The team at Abacus raised a total of ?832.36 for the charity through bake sales and staff donations.

Michelle Taylor, founder of the charity said, ‘On behalf of Action4Autism, I would like to express thanks to the staff at Abacus for their kind donation. The monies raised will be used to purchase mini tablet computers which children can use to help improve communication with their parents and carers. Our charity exists to assist, support and educate the network of carers with information, courses and activities on the difficulties they may face throughout the various stages of a child’s development. We would be unable to continue to offer the support if we did not receive the generous support from Isle of Man companies such as Abacus’.

Emer Dowling, Director at Abacus Trust Company Limited said, ‘I am pleased to donate this cheque on behalf of Abacus to Action4Autism. Meeting Michelle and hearing her accounts of how our donation will help those who suffer from autism and other associated disorders has reinforced our decision to support this charity’.

Action4Autism is an Isle of Man Registered Charity Number 1065
