by isleofman.com 8th June 2013

The TT rider involved in Friday's crash at Bray Hill has been discharged from hospital.

Jonathan Howarth from Barnsley was competing on the first lap of the Senior TT when he lost control of his motorbike which then careered off the circuit and went into the crowd.

Five spectators remain in Noble’s Hospital, four of whom have limb injuries which have been described as 'serious' but all patients are reported to be in a stable condition.

All of the injured spectators who were taken to hospital were visitors to the Island.

The race was immediately stopped and later re-run.
