TT spectators 'stable' in hospital

by isleofman.com 10th June 2013

Five of the spectators injured during Friday’s Senior TT accident on Bray Hill in Douglas remain in hospital this morning (Monday).

All five have limb injuries, four of which have been described as ‘serious’ but all patients are reported to be in a stable condition.

All of the injured spectators - who are on normal wards - were visitors to the Island.

They were hurt when competitor Jonathan Howarth from Barnsley lost control of his motorbike which then careered off the circuit and went into the crowd.

Ten fans were initially taken to hospital but five have now been discharged, as well as Howarth, who had a minor fracture.
