Peel RNLI Lifeboat Diverted from Exercise

Peel RNLI lifeboat Ruby Clery rescued a TT fan on Thursday night.

After exercising in front of several thousand TT fans during Peel flag day, Ruby Clery was diverted to assist a TT fan returning to Ireland from the Isle of Man in a rib. The boat had broken down about 15 miles off Peel. The Peel boat with its volunteer crew located the rib and attached a tow returning to Peel at about 10:15pm.

The successful flag and collection during Peel motorbike sand races raised in the region of ?1800.
