This Friday, June 16th, a very special gig is happening at the Peel Centenary Centre. Katherine Crowe, the endlessly inspiring singer songwriter from the "Smile" campaign, will be performing alongside a whole host of her musical friends from the Island and beyond - including Richard Walters, Jo Earner (Red Gap), Anna Goldsmith and more.
Katherine has been living on borrowed time this past 12 months, battling a very rare, aggressive terminal cancer. Her music, her friends and her family - and her incredible positive attitude - have kept her going this far. But now, as her struggle gets harder and more intense, she is looking to reduce her musical commitments so she can concentrate on her young family. Katherine commented:
"I will do my last concert on June 14th in the Centenary Centre in Peel and then I am hanging up my boots so to speak...I hope that you will join me and my lovely friends in making this a night to remember! It has taken everything I have and more to try and set this show up, bravery, courage and an awful lot of mind madness to boot - I hope you will be there with me to enjoy one last knees up."
There are still tickets left for the gig - please spread the word, come along yourselves, bring friends and family - as this may be the last opportunity to see the utterly wonderful Katherine Crowe perform in concert.
