Celton Manx Pitches in to Sponsor IOMFA for Third Successive Year

by isleofman.com 12th June 2013

The Isle of Man Football Association has welcomed sponsorship for the third successive year from Celton Manx, operator of global online sports book SBOBET.

The agreement will see players in the Isle of Man Football Association’s senior men’s representative team wearing new SBOBET-branded shirts.

The association’s chief executive officer Frank Stennett said: ‘We’re extremely grateful to Celton Manx for their continued generous sponsorship which gives us the funds to develop the national representative senior men’s team and structure our operation in a truly professional manner. For the team to be able to go out onto pitches here at the Bowl stadium, in the UK and further afield wearing SBOBET shirts lends added credibility to the squad and the association.

‘Special thanks must go Bill Mummery, executive director of Celton Manx, who follows the squad’s fortunes closely and, despite his very busy schedule, manages to get to just about every game, which the players really appreciate.’

Mr Mummery said: ‘The Isle of Man Football Association is doing tremendous work promoting the game as an inclusive sport and helping young players develop their skills. Additionally the representative teams are worthy ambassadors not only for football but also for the Isle of Man.

‘For Celton Manx to sponsor the Isle of Man Football Association is to harness the twin powers of business and sport to help make a very real difference in the community. It is against this background that we are pleased to extend our support to a third year. I wish the association every success for the future and look forward to cheering on the squad as often as my work commitments permit.’
