Days before Tywnald votes on far-reaching boundary changes for elections to the Keys, a former local authority chief says a much bigger review is urgently needed.
The Boundary Review Commttee has come-up with plans for 12, two-seat consitutencies to equalise the size of population-per-MHK. It would bring an end to the current mix of one, two and three-seaters.
But a former chair of Onchan commissioners Brian Stowell says the committee should have been tasked with reducing the overall number of national and local politicians - and re-drawing both Keys and local government boundaries.
