Continent 8 wins award

by isleofman.com 14th June 2013

Continent 8 Technologies has won Data Centre of the Year for the fourth year in a row at this year’s eGaming Review B2B Awards at The Pavilion, Tower of London on Thursday 6th June 2013.

The eGR B2B Awards honour and celebrate the very best service providers and B2B operators in the eGaming industry, recognizing achievements across all the major eGaming disciplines including betting and gaming software, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, IT and infrastructure.

The winning of the award by Continent 8 recognises another 12 months of continued commitment and investment in delivering products and services tailored specifically for the eGaming sector. New data centres in Dublin and Guernsey (to host Alderney licensed operators and software suppliers), as well as an increased Global Private Network and enhanced product offerings were the flagship developments over the past year. Currently, there are extensive expansion projects at the company’s Isle of Man and Gibraltar data centres to meet customer demand. Additional data centres are likely to be added to the global footprint with facilities in the US and Asia being pursued.

Nick Nally, Chief Development Officer, who collected the award, said, “Continent 8 is honoured to be recognised in this category once again. Our continued success is underpinned by a dedication to customer service, and we will continue to build on our global footprint, network, services and people to support our expanding customer base.’

“Adding a data centre in Guernsey to host Alderney licensees means we now have facilities in all the traditional gaming jurisdictions in Europe. This however will not be the last investment we make this year. We have been visiting potential sites in the US in order to meet the various regulatory requirements.”

Continent 8 has been supporting the global eGaming industry for fifteen years and now operates in three continents with nine strategically located data centres linked by a single private global network.
