Teenage girl assaulted in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 14th June 2013

Police are appealing for information on what they believe was a sexually motivated assault on a teenage girl.

The incident happened in Ramsey around 12.50am last Saturday (8th June) in the lane which runs from the rear of the Total Garage to the rear of Shoprite Ramsey behind Albion Terrace and Lezayre Road.

The sixteen year old was on her own when the assault happened.

Officers want to identify two men who were in the area around the time and are thought to be connected with the assault.

They say the incident was during a bank holiday weekend following Senior Race day on the Friday and many people would have been out socialising in pubs.

Police have spoken with a number of members of the public and have been making house to house enquiries in the area.

If you have any information which may help with enquiries you can ring police headquarters on 631 212
