Do the leg work, leader tells would-be councillors

The leader of Douglas Council says any future councillor has to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

Nominations for the vacant St George's Ward seat have to be in by the 5pm on June 25 with election day scheduled for July.

Three people have already declared following Chris Thomas' election to the House of Keys - George Campbell, Kevin Oliphant-Smith and David Buttery.

David Christan says in the last election some council candidates didn't seem committed:
