Police appeal for witnesses to assaullt in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 17th June 2013
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information in relation to the following event:

At about 12:50am on Saturday 8th June 2013, a lone 16 year old female was assaulted in the lane which runs from the rear of the Total Garage and the rear Shoprite Ramsey (rear of Albion Terrace, Lezayre Road).  It is believed that the offence was sexually motivated.  Police are seeking to identify two males who were in the area around that time, believed to be connected with the assault.

To help jog memories, this was one week ago in the early hours after Senior Race Day and many would have been out enjoying that Friday bank holiday and socialising in the local pubs.

The investigation is being conducted by Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department together with the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Police have spoken with a number of members of the public and have been making house to house enquiries in the area.   Further enquiries continue.
