Warning to Manx holidaymakers after rabies found in Spain

by isleofman.com 18th June 2013

Health chiefs in the Island have issued a rabies warning to holiday-makers heading to Spain.

A dog in the central Spanish city of Toledo has been confirmed as having rabies and travellers are being urged not to have any contact with wild or domestic animals in a number of newly designated 'risk areas'.

The key area is within a perimeter of 20 kilometres radius around Toledo city.

Other parts of the region where travellers should be vigilant are listed on the government website and the Public Health Facebook page.
