Tynwald backs constituency reform

Tynwald has voted to change the Island’s constituency boundaries in time for 2016’s general election.

This afternoon, the court backed a boundary review committee report which recommended the Isle of Man should be split into 12 constituencies for House of Keys elections.

Each of those areas will have two members and 7,000 people.

Rushen MHK Juan Watterson wasn’t convinced – and wanted the issue looked at again by another committee:
