Nedbank Private Wealth builds on award success

by isleofman.com 20th June 2013

Nedbank Private Wealth has retained the Best International Private Wealth Management Provider title for the fifth year running in the Professional Adviser International Fund and Product Awards. This year the judges selected two winners and the bank was also recognised in a new category as Best in Class for Integrated Banking Service.

The bank has now accumulated 22 outright wins and 18 highly commended awards under a spellbinding 13-year unbroken record of winning achievements at these prestigious industry awards.

The awards, which are now in their 14th year, are in honour of firms in the financial services industry offering products and services across borders. There were over 70 entries to this year’s awards from a wide range of companies in the offshore sector. Judged by an independent panel of industry practitioners and experts, the judging process involves both quantitative and qualitative assessments.

Greg Horton, managing director at Nedbank Private Wealth, said: “I am delighted we have been recognised at these awards for another year as it provides such a sound endorsement of our team’s consistency and ongoing commitment to our clients and our business. Acknowledgement such as this reinforces our solid reputation under our new Nedbank Private Wealth brand.

“To also be recognised as Best in Class for Integrated Banking Service unquestionably reaffirms our position as one of the leading integrated banking and wealth management businesses. Total holdings on Focus, our integrated banking and investment platform, continue to grow strongly and were up a further 6% in the first quarter of 2013, having comfortably passed through the ?2 billion (US$3 billion) mark for the first time.”

In judging the entries, the award panel takes into account the growth of the business, its distribution model, product range, support to target markets and level of service. Recent training, technology and product enhancements are also considered. This year saw the introduction of an online voting facility, whereby practitioners could vote for their favourite offshore provider, as well as new Best in Class Awards for entries that shone in specific areas.
