Fire Fighter Henry Quayle received his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal from Chief Fire Officer Kevin Groom on Monday evening at Kirk Michael Station. The medal is in recognition of Henry’s twenty years exemplary Service. It recognises both the commitment of Fire Fighters and their families for the sacrifice they make in making our communities a safer place. Henry has served at Kirk Michael Station since 1st June 1992 and has attended a wide variety of incidents. He epitomises all that is good within the Service and we wish him well in the rest of his career, and thank him for his continued commitment to the Service.<br /> <br />Secondly it was a sad farewell to Michael Collins who retired from the Service on the same night. Michael joined on the 1st April 1991 and leaves having served Kirk Michael and the island for over 22 years. Michael has attended a wide variety of incidents and he epitomised all that is good within the Service and we wish him well in his retirement, and thank him for his commitment, he will be missed by all personnel.<br /> <br />Above are attachment photographs showing Henry receiving his medal, and Michael receiving his Illuminated Address from the Chief Fire Officer Kevin Groom.
