Ramsey RNLI hosting a beach racing fundraiser

by isleofman.com 21st June 2013

The Manx Grass and Sand Racing Club are holding a beach racing event, with racing by solo and quad bikes, on Ramsey Beach by the RNLI Station on the Sunday 30th June. The event is for all classes and will also be a fundraiser for Ramsey’s lifeboat, the RNLB Ann & James Ritchie.

The entertainment with thrills and hopefully no spills will begin around eleven o’clock and continue until mid-afternoon, finishing before the tide gets in! Quine’s Hog Roast and Catering will be on hand serving up one of their scrumptious hog roasts and lifeboat crew and supporters will be in the boat house serving drinks and refreshments. It is hoped RNLI mascot Stormy Stan, the reluctant but world famous celebrity, will make an appearance. Stormy is a currently trying to organise his extremely busy summer diary.

All hands at Ramsey Lifeboat Station and the Manx Grass and Sand Racing Club wish to thank Ramsey Town Commissioners for allowing the event to go ahead and also the neighbours of the lifeboat house for their unceasing goodwill, patience and support.
